River Drosera

River Drosera is a Certified Somatic Sex Educator and TRE® practitioner based in Rochester, NY, on Onöndowa’ga:’ land. Their practice brings together trauma integration, bodywork, scar tissue care, embodiment, and pleasure education for women and queer people seeking a more honest, meaningful, and fulfilling relationship with themselves, the people they love, and their communities.
Their work lives at the meeting place of the nervous system, erotic expression, relational repair, consent, creativity, and the body’s capacity to change. Clients often seek River out after years of insight, therapy, study, or personal growth, when they understand healing intellectually but feel that something is missing in their connection to their body. 
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, River draws from 13 years of training in somatics, trauma-integrative bodywork, and so,antic sex education to create a deeply attuned process that unfolds in response to each person’s intentions, boundaries, history, and lived experience. 
River’s practice includes public writing, workshops, classes, and private sessions. Their work is rooted in the belief that connection to the body is not trivial. It is a site of repair, agency, beauty, pleasure, justice, and liberation.
